The distinguishing characters of the new genus are in the morphology of its valves and soft parts. The postero-dorsal margin of the internal left valve is plate-like protruded. The morphology of this plate varies in different species, e.g., some species bear a tooth-like tubercle on the plate. Abstract. Neodiaptomus prateek n. sp. is described based on a plankton sample collected from Deepor Beel, a floodplain lake in the north-eastern, Indian state of Assam, which falls within the key biodiversity area of the Indo-Burma Hotspot. The new species fulfils all the principal criteria of the genus NeodiaptomusKiefer, , as revised by Kiefer ().
The genus Bennelongia De Deckker & McKenzie, is most likely endemic to Australia and New Zealand and, up to now, only two described species in this genus had been reported from Western Australia. Extensive sampling in Western Australia revealed a much higher specific diversity. Here, we describe nine new species in three lineages, within the genus Bennelongia: B. cygnus sp. nov. and B. i fly continues to build several cells alongside and upon each other: they destroy an amazing number of spiders ; they com- monly put all, or the most part of one particular species toge- ther in one cell, many of them of very rare species, and such I imagine must live chiefly on the tops of branches.
Well-illustrated with approximately photographs, this book fills that need. Nutritional Freshwater Life details the characteristics of more than species of nutritionally important freshwater animals and plants.

Adult valves are asymmetrical, characterised by a beak-like feature in the antero-ventral region of the left valve, and, with some notable exceptions, mostly have smooth or weakly-ornamented valves.
